Adoption & Infertility
I have the unique combination of professional and personal experience in adoption, infertility, and pregnancy loss. I have worked as an adoption social worker for over twenty years. I enjoy working with all members of the adoption constellation. Adoption is a complex experience for all members. It is important to work with a therapist who understands the impact adoption can have on an individual and family. I have years of experience understanding the vast range of emotions experienced at different points of the journey. I am also a proud adoptive parent.

Families
"Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible- the kind of atmosphere in a nurturing family"
-Virginia Satir
My goals for family therapy include developing and maintaining healthy boundaries, facilitating cohesion and communication, building empathy and understanding, and reducing conflict within the family.
Individual
Effective psychotherapy elicits change and guides people to live more authentically. Challenges are a part of life and can leave us feeling powerless and out of control. At the end of your comfort zone is often where your journey begins. I believe in a person centered approach in which I will use your unique set of values and interests to guide me in shaping a clear path for growth and change.
Dementia & Care Partners
I believe it is an honor to help individuals and families navigate the dementia journey. I have both professional and personal experience with dementia. The role of a care partner can be a very overwhelming and isolating experience. It is vital to learn tools to care for your own well-being while simultaneously processing and accepting the frequent changes in your loved one as the disease progresses. I am a certified dementia care specialist.
